The Legend Of Zelda ran for just a few months and was comprised of only 13 episodes, which is actually a good thing because all of those episodes were completely awful. The sad truth is that the many problems with this first attempt to make Link a TV star prevented any other network from rolling the dice on remaking it. Thus, we only have the games and a pipe dream for a movie to look forward to. The show was very simplistic, as it starred Link and Zelda defending Hyrule from Ganon. Any fan of the games knows that this is classic Legend of Zelda fare that should have been easy to execute in an episodic format. For some reason, however, the show failed to capture our imaginations. WHY WE WANT IT BACK One of the many limitations for the series was that the technology to truly capture the world of Hyrule was not as accessible as it is now. Sure, Gummy Bears pulled it off, but they had the luxury of being targeted to a younger audience. For Zelda to take off, it needed (and needs) to be aimed at a slightly more mature demographic if it wants to appeal to a broader group of Zelda fans.
