New TARDIS interiors are always massively hyped. But the latest control room took things to a new level. And rightly so!

We’d been told that the new set was “impossible” and “logic-defying”. Even so, the onscreen reveal was spectacular – from our tantalising first glimpse of the set in Camden, right through to the shots of the Doctor running around inside. It’s a magical, seamless sequence that feels right at home in what is now a Disney+ show.

And it’s not just size that this interior has going for it, nor all those round things. This is also the most accessible TARDIS ever, with sweeping slopes replacing stairs and steps.

This TARDIS even has a ramp built into its exterior, and this is all just as it should be. After all, before the question of wheelchair accessibility even came into the equation, 70s production teams struggled to show K9 entering the TARDIS onscreen. The ramp has always been a logical addition, even back then!

In short, this a spellbinding new TARDIS. And thankfully it’s sticking around, so we’ll be seeing a lot more of it in 2024.
