10 Actors You Didn't Know Were In Star Trek

Not unlike another actor on this list Tom Hardy has bulked up substantially over recent years, meaning the Hardy many fans are most familiar with is somewhat of a different specimen than the young actor who started his career in the early 2000s.

A case in point is his antagonist role in Star Trek: Nemesis, in which he plays Shinzon, a Romulan-created clone of Captain Picard. Hardy is chrome domed and slight - indeed he was cast in the role partly due to his resemblance to Patrick Stuart, a comparison few would think to make these days. While his looks are unfamiliar, his performance is exactly as you’d expect from a Hardy villain, venomous lines spat out at a consistent intensity. Unfortunately for Hardy, Nemesis was a box office bomb and a critical disaster, and even set the young actor’s career back for a few years.

He did of course recover and has gone from strength to strength in the years following, becoming one of the most sought after and bankable actors in Hollywood. This, however - the first major film role on his CV - is certainly one to forget.
