10 Awesome Cyborgs in TV History

5. Jamie Sommers - Bionic Woman (1975)

I've been watching all of the Bionic Woman episodes lately. They're very dated, but fun to watch. Frankly, The Bionic Woman and The Six Million Dollar Man television shows now qualify as relics, but the concept of humans with important and substantial parts of their anatomy replaced with technologically-advanced mechanical devices was a pretty new concept during the 1970's. Yes, there were other shows that had cyborgs before the 1970's, but most of them didn't have their plots center around the enhanced abilities afforded the recipients of the mechanical body parts. If you want to see a true American cultural phenomenon from the 1970's, check out these shows.
