10 Awesome TV Shows Still To Return In 2016

Does this count as a new or returning show? It's both, really, since it's technically new 'A Year In The Life' rather than just straight-up Gilmore Girls, but also a continuation of that series.

Anyway, now that's out the way, let's get into why the revival is exciting. Gilmore Girls was a superb show; it offered a great look at the relationship between a parent and child, their various other relationships, and it was full of whip-smart, fast-paced dialogue and a whole host of weird and wonderful characters.

And, well, they're all coming back for A Year In The Life (although Edward Herrmann sadly passed away before the show was happening, and will be a huge miss). Creator Amy Sherman-Palladino never got to tell the ending she had planned, as she couldn't come to an agreement with the network, and the show was cancelled after Season 7.

Netflix have given her the chance to go out on her terms, with four 90-minute long episodes spanning a year (themed around each of the four seasons), so we'll find out what happens with Lorelai and Luke, where Rory ends up (and who with), and what the final four words are.

Air Date: November 25.
