10 Awesome TV Shows Still To Return In 2016

2. Black Mirror

Black Mirror Season 3 San Junipero Gugu Mbatha Raw And Mackenzie Davis
Netflix

Black Mirror is one of the best British dramas to emerge in recent years: an intelligent, strange, perfectly-pitched satire on modern life, encompassing everything from technology to relationships to politics, and proving hilariously precient at times (yes, I'm of course talking about the Prime Minister and a pig).

Only two series and a Christmas special have been made, and it's been off our screens for too long now. That's where Netflix come in, with the streaming giants tapping into the warped-genius mind of Charlie Brooker for a new batch of episodes, the first lot of which we're getting later this year.

There's a host of starry names involved both in-front and behind the camera, such as Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Joe Wright. The episodes themselves (Season 3 will consist of 6 instalments) will offer what you'd expect, lots of sharp satire and social commentary, while playing around with various genres, such as horror thriller, crime drama, and a coming-of-age tale.

Air Date: October 21.
