6. Cally Tyrol - Battlestar Galactica
Cally was one of those characters that began as a small time player in the background and rose up to become an important figure in the show's history. Cally works on the flight deck of the Galactica, where she of course has constant contact with her future husband Chief Galen Tyrol. Across the course of the series, she goes through a lot- there is no denying that- but there is also no denying what a complete and utter idiot she is. This woman is an absolute, selfish nut job. First of all, lets deal with the death of Crashdown, her Commanding officer. Admittedly he was losing control but she is a soldier and she is supposed to follow orders, yet because she was too scared she refused and Crashdown lost his life, selfish decision. Due to her jealousy of Boomers relationship with the Chief, she murders her, selfish decision. Tyrol loses his mind one day and beats the living hell out of her-yet she forgives him- only it is later revealed that somewhere in between she sleeps with Hotdog and becomes pregnant. She then passes the baby off as the chiefs and marries him. Another stupid and selfish decision, do you see the trend here? Now lets skip ahead to her awesome death. This was such an interesting juxtaposition from the previous, harrowing spacing of Jammer. If anyone deserved this,it was Cally, especially considering what she was about to do before Tory found her. Having discovered that the chief is a cylon, she decides that the solution to this problem is for her to kill not only herself but her baby as well. I understand that she was devastated; her husband was the thing she hates the most and they share a child together. There is a problem here though, the chief is not the father and she knows it! Anyone who cheered when the Chief snapped the neck of Tory, should hang their head in shame. The woman was a hero; she saved the baby and rid the Galactica of this infuriating, ditzy and self-centred woman. Ill say one thing for Cally, she may have been crazy but she certainly is the most entertaining character on this list.
