10 Most Badass Characters In TV History

7. Daryl Dixon - The Walking Dead

It is a common behaviour among zombie fans to ponder what life would be like if a real zombie apocalypse were to befall us, and if they're honest, most people would like to think they would be like Daryl from The Walking Dead. Those people are either liars or seriously deluded, as it would be impossible to remain as cool as this guy in the face of zombie hell. But then, we could still watch and cheer as he does all the hard work for us. The Walking Dead has been criticised for inconsistency in the past: a criticism which is not entirely unfair, but the one constant that has run throughout the show - Daryl is not to be messed with. By melding the animalistic characteristics of Merle with a more humane outlook akin to Rick, Daryl has become an absolutely essential member of the group and easily the most badass character on the show. With his trusty crossbow in hand, he brings brains as well as brawn to the zombie party, and the show is all the better for it. His obvious desire to emerge from his older brother's shadow, as well as an unrelenting determination to do what is right for the group, made Daryl one of the most popular and coolest characters on the show. When you see him pull an arrow out of his leg and fire it into a Walker's head, it's hard to argue with that sentiment. Most Badass Moment Quite an understated one this, but no less badass: in early season 4, during a supply run, Daryl finds out that Bob has been stocking up on booze instead of medical supplies. Bob, unsure of what to do, tentatively reaches for his gun. Without speaking, Daryl walks right up to him, almost pushing him off the roof they are stuck on, and simply stares him down, almost daring Bob to try it. It's a fantastic piece of acting from Norman Reedus and cemented Daryl's position as the most badass character on the show.
