There's a dark, dark place in the back of everyone's mind, where all of our horrible thoughts and bizarre nightmares live. This is where Ren & Stimpy was spawned. Seriously, I loved this show as a kid, but it's got some pretty disturbing stuff. Everything from the animation style to the subject matter is just skeevy and off-putting. Whenever I watch it, I can't help but feel like I need to take a shower immediately afterwards. In a way, that's why it was so good. At the time that this show came out, no one was making programming for kids like this. No one. As cute and cuddly as kids can be, they also have a dark side. Ren & Stimpy spoke to the creepy little weirdo living in all of us. And for that, Ren Hoek and Stimpson J. Cat, we salute you.
