10 Best South Park Celebrity Cameos
1. George Clooney
This was South Park's first celebrity cameo, and it might be its most ridiculous. In only its fourth episode, the show nabbed George Clooney, who - in addition to two Primetime Emmy nominations and three Golden Globe nominations for his role in ER - had recently starred in From Dusk till Dawn, The Peacemaker, and the reviled Batman & Robin (a film Clooney himself wasn't even fond of).
What did Trey Parker and Matt Stone do with this veritable heartthrob? What role did they lend to this TV icon and up-and-coming movie star?
A dog. They made him a dog.
In the episode "Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride", Clooney voiced Stan's dog, Sparky, who ran away from home after Stan shunned him for being gay instead of being tough and masculine. Clooney voiced the dog, and that's a pretty liberal use of the word "voiced". He never spoke a single word. Not even once. His entire performance was barking, panting, and dog noises.
Clooney appeared again in the feature film, South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut. In the movie, he played the ER doctor (obviously) who tried to save Kenny after burned himself trying to light a fart on fire.
The man has range.
