1. "Knight Time"
"Knight Time" is the second episode from the third season of the series, which depicts the first time the Man of Steel takes a jaunt over to Gotham when he learns that his pal Batman has gone missing. To look for his friend, he dons the cape and cowl in his place to keep crime from taking advantage of the Dark Knight's absence.
Robin was left to manage the city all to himself without any real understanding of Bruce's whereabouts, but is happy to team up with Superman when he offers his services. An investigation ensues and the episode is full of Batman's impressive rogue's gallery, all of whom are intent on taking control over the city.
When the duo finally uncovers the location of Bruce Wayne, it turns out that it was Superman's villain Brainiac who was behind the Dark Knight's disappearance all along. Superman engages his foe as Batman and surprises Brainiac, who expected to contend with a normal human.
He succeeds in defeating Brainiac and destroys his rocket and new body while Bruce recovers from the nanites that infected him. When all is said and done, Superman compliments the Boy Wonder on his skills in handling Gotham during Bruce's absence and flies off to Metropolis, and it's brilliant from start to finish.
