Showtime's The Affair has explored the impact of a chaotic extramarital relationship between a struggling writer and a young waitress, played by Dominic West and Ruth Wilson, over the course of three gripping seasons.
Series 4 is set to debut on 17 June and it promises to shake up the status quo. The four main characters will drift further apart and West's Noah Solloway has a new love interest in the shape of Shots Fired actress Sanaa Lathan, and if his track record is anything to go by, their relationship is certain to be complicated.
Indeed, he has a rival for her affections in series newcomer Russell Hornsby, who plays the ex-husband to Lathan's character in the show. Her former spouse also has a son, portrayed by Christopher Meyer, who ends up taking one of Noah's classes.
