10 Brilliantly Simple Opening Credits In Awesome TV Shows

6. Amazing World Of Gumball

Cartoon Network's “Amazing World of Gumball” is a surprisingly brilliant, meta kid’s show in the spirit of Community or Arrested Development. It is about a town full of leftover cartoon characters, and delightfully explores and explodes the logic of television.

Gumball’s whizz-bang episodes power through a dense array of gags and plot lines in their ten minutes running length, so it’s sensible that the opening credits don’t waste too much time getting to the point. The result comes in at under 20 seconds: a kaleidoscopic exposition of the major characters, and a tone-setting piece of hyper-real silliness.
