2. Bojack Horseman - All Of The Great Puns
As was stated earlier in the article, Bojack Horseman is a show that fully commits to having a tonne of background details that make it incredibly rewarding to watch. For this entry, we are focussing less on a specific role and rather discussing these background extras that deliver a plethora of great jokes.
The show surrounds a lot of its comedy with word play, and the anthropomorphic animal characters are a brilliant way to explore this. The series has prominent jokes such as Quentin Tarantulino and the Nguyen families literal black sheep Gary. Still, the majority of the puns are weaved so well into the background that you don't even notice them.
There are greats such as literal Crickets sat in the audience during Bojack's stand-up show, a lazy sloth on a treadmill, and all of the ironically filled seats in Elefino's. The brilliance of these extras is that their jokes come by and depart so quickly that you barely ever catch any, making the series a fantastic choice for re-watching.
It's easy to love this aspect of the series, as it is part of what makes the show so special and smart.
