One of a few immortal beings to feature on this list and one that the Doctor has been fighting for longer than the Daleks, he would make an interesting foe for new Who. The Toymaker is a powerful being that dresses like a mandarin and is immensely bored. As a result he builds entire fantasy worlds dedicated to his love of games and challenges people who enter his world by forcing them to play destructive games such as Exploding Musical Chairs and Deadly Hopscotch. If they lose they become his playthings for all eternity although if they are victorious he destroys the world with them inside of it. He was first introduced way back with the First Doctor, as the Toymaker wants a re-match for a previous defeat, hinting at a prior relationship. The Toymakers world would make a hugely interesting, if disturbing, place for the new Doctor Who series to explore and would allow us to see the Doctor face off against a villain who has been his enemy even longer than the Daleks. It would also allow the show to play on Capaldis apparent coldness, similar to that shown in Kill The Moon, and his new relationship with Clara. It would also give the production teams some interesting visuals to play with, which would be very exciting indeed.
