10 Community Cameos You Probably Missed

Paget Brewster and Keith David seem like strange entries on this list. After all, their Season 6 regular characters, Frankie Dart and Elroy Patashnik, are hardly cameos.

However, both Brewster and David make cameos in Community as entirely different characters before joining the main cast. In Brewster's case, she joins the parade of celebrity cameos in the aforementioned Season 5 episode Analysis of Cork-Based Networking as Deborah Chambers, the IT lady. Brewster's role as Deborah is referred to in Season 6, when Frankie tries to email Deborah, but all her emails get bounced back in Aramaic, and when she tries to call Deborah, and all she hears is "an undulating high pitched whistle that makes my nose bleed."

As for David, he appears as the Narrator in the Season 3 episode Pillows and Blankets. The episode spoofs Ken Burns style documentaries, such as The Civil War, so David's Narrator helps fill in the gaps in this episode's story. Despite his iconic voice, it's hard to recognize David until the end of the episode, when Jeff asks the Narrator if he was on The Cape.

Somehow, Paget Brewster and Keith David both make cameos and serve as series regulars on the same show.
