Series creator Dan Harmon sneaks into a handful of Community episodes, but you'll need a sharp ear to hear him. While Harmon never physically appears in the show, beyond having his face shown on a photo or poster here and there, he makes a few voice cameos throughout its run.

Harmon's first voice roll comes in the Season 3 episode Curriculum Unavailable, in a scene in which the Greendale Seven are told that Greendale does not exist, and they are actually at an insane asylum. Harmon voices a doctor who bears a striking resemblance to Garrett, but Harmon delivers his line in a suave voice, as opposed to Erik Charles Nielsen's typical nerdy delivery.

Harmon makes his second vocal cameo in Season 5's G.I. Jeff, a G.I. Joe parody which is mostly animated. Harmon voices Sleep Apnea, a character Jeff, aka Wingman, briefly encounters in prison who looks and sounds just like Harmon. Despite the resemblance, it's still not entirely obvious who Sleep Apnea is supposed to be.

Harmon makes his final voice appearance in Community in the series finale, Emotional Consequences of Broadcast Television, as the announcer for the Community Board Game commercial. His long and nonsensical rant is actually the final line of the series, making it appropriate that Community's creator is the one who delivers its final line.
