10 Confusing TV Shows That Nobody Understands

From the jump, it should have been obvious that 2016 debut Westworld was going to be a complicated and hard-to-untangle series.

After all, the show was adapted from Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton's 1973 film of the same name, a Yul Brynner vehicle wherein androids go haywire and wreak havoc in a wild west theme park.

As such, at any point in this dark, big budget HBO hit, the audience was always aware that any given character could turn out to be a robot, often without them even knowing it. However thanks to some clever timeline cross-cutting, the show manages to confuse and confound even the canniest viewer as epitomised by the shocking cliffhanger twists featured in every second episode.

There are so many that WhatCulture devoted an entire list to the show's best reveals and, even though the recent third season frustrated many faithful fans, it seems that the show is set to keep viewers hooked and utterly lost for some time yet.
