10 Craziest Fan Theories About Family Guy

3. The Entire Heightened Reality Of Family Guy Is All In Peter€™s Head Due To His Real And Depressing Life

The heightened and elastic reality of Family Guy is usually waved off as being 'cartoon logic'. Well, a Reddit user, bblank0308, managed to come up with a plausible and depressing explanation as to why Family Guy is so crazy: Everything is inside Peter's head. Rather than the unattractive punching-bag everyone knows, Meg was in reality a beautiful and popular teenager who loved her mentally challenged brother, Chris. One night, Meg took Chris out to a party and was involved in a fatal drunken accident on the way home. Unable to accept the death of her children, Lois, who was pregnant with Stewie at the time, committed suicide. His family gone, Peter slowly slipped into insanity and soon began to create a world in his head where his everyone is still alive. Peter still resents Meg for drink-driving and causing the death of Chris, hence why she's the butt of every joke in the show, but deep down, he still loves her for the beautiful and sweet girl she was. Since Stewie was never born, Peter imagined him as a never-aging baby with great intelligence and potential. However, Peter resents Lois for taking Stewie away from him, explaining why Stewie is always trying to kill his moth. As for Peter, he was actually a very intelligent man, but his guilt over being unable to protect his family caused him to turn into a lovable idiot whilst his actual intelligent persona was transferred to Brian, the family dog.

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
