10 DC Characters That Need Their Own HBO Max Series
2. Green Lantern Corps
If you’re a fan of Star Wars, Disney+ is your go-to streaming service. The million dollar space opera isn’t just made up of the old movies - it’s made up from cartoons, TV shows and Lego Christmas specials (honestly). It’s unlikely that HBO Max will have something more successful than the well known franchise, but a Green Lantern series could be a starting point.
The Green Lantern Corps has the potential to be one of HBO Max’s flagship shows, having a huge budget and including big special effects spectacles.
One of the flaws of the Ryan Reynolds movie is that it spent too much time on Earth. With that in mind, it would be a good idea to spend no time there at all and spend more time exploring planets in far away galaxies.
With the show revolving around the Corps, there isn’t the constraint of focusing on one character either. Taking inspiration from Doctor Who, each season could centre around a new Lantern, whether that’s Hal Jordan, Simon Baz or Jessica Cruz. Focusing on the GL Corps could make for something truly special, and provide Warner Bros. with their long awaited answer to Star Wars.
