6. Rose Tyler (Billie Piper)

The first episode of NuWho which actually focused on the Doctor was Dalek, six episodes in. They made no secret of the fact that Rose Tyler was the main focus, and not only because the opening episode was named after her. That is stealing the show in the most comically literal way possible. It€™s so blatant, in fact, that it's only one step away from her actually appearing the opening credits, eating the Doctor Who logo and dancing in its place chortling, "Look at me! It's all about me!" Thankfully, it never went that far (again, Clara will not be appearing in this list). Although she was often uncaring and hugely jealous of anybody who even came remotely close to her beloved Doctor, Billie Piper frequently put in the standout performance of any scene and, by the end of her run, she was more defined as character than the Doctor himself. While many dislike her, it€™s completely undeniable that the show revolved around her.
