In the recent episode Listen Clara encountered a man who looked very much like Danny Pink, the man she had begun to fall for. While it was never explicitly stated, audiences were led to assume that the time travelling Orson Pink was the grandson of Clara and Danny. So many assumed that in the end, Clara would chose Danny over the Doctor and perhaps she might have done had her post it conversation with him not resulted in his tragic death. Even in the final moments of Death In Heaven, many assumed that her farewell to the Doctor would reveal that she was pregnant with Danny's child, giving her reason to leave the TARDIS and give birth to a child who would in turn become Orson's parent. But that didn't happen. Danny died. Clara remained alone before reuniting with the Doctor at the end of Last Christmas. Even if audiences were to assume that Danny was Orson's grandparent but not Clara, his demise surely wiped any chance of Orson becoming the time traveller Clara and the Doctor met at the end of the universe. Unless Clara's end game is to find another way to reunite with Danny, the mystery of Orson Pink will remain the latest of Doctor Who's many abandoned storylines. What do you think? Do these storylines need revisiting? Are there other plotlines that you want resolved? Or is it best to move on and enjoy the latest adventures of Doctor Who, acknowledging that across time and space there will always be some unanswered questions?
