3. Voltron (2016)
One of the biggest animated originals to come out of Netflix in recent years, the gorgeously animated Voltron reboot surpassed the original in spades, with masterfully animated action, lovable and memorable characters, and excellent storytelling.
Despite a few bumps in the road, with writing changes midway through its unusually fast production, the impact of this series is undeniable, setting a new standard for animated reboots and helping give Netflix original animation the life it has today.
Though recently ended, the absolutely stunning animation (by the legendary Studio Mir) gives the show rewatchability, with different characters with distinct personalities and skill sets allowing fans to choose their favourites among a colourful and easily lovable cast. The vast, sci-fi world-building still deserves space and time to grow until now, with clone story-lines and alternate universes expanding an already vast world even further.
This was one of those rare reboots that was much better than the original in many ways, and its large fanbase and positive reactions prompted a slew of Netflix original "anime". Its influence is felt even after its end, and there are still enough fans to hope for future stories out of this breathtaking, action-packed series.
