8. The Car Pool Lane (Season 4, Episode 6)

There's a multitude of engaging storylines in this one and all of them lead to laugh out loud hilarity before the credits roll. Larry's signature awkwardness is on full display throughout, particularly during his toe-curling crack at scoring some marijuana for his ailing father. When traffic threatens to ruin his hopes of getting to an LA Dodger's game on time, he hires a prostitute (a great guest spot from Master of None's Kym Whitley) to be his passenger so he can take advantage of the carpool lane. The concept is as absurd in practise as it sounds in theory.

Larry's perpetually unlucky pal Marty Funkhouser is mourning the recent death of his father and is holding his old man's prime seat at the game vacant in memoriam. Determined to get that better seat, Larry's as insensitive as ever while treating with the former Super Dave Osborne.

Brimming with some of the series' most politically incorrect gags (including Larry presenting himself as a straight up racist in order to avoid jury selection), The Car Pool Lane is a priceless, madcap episode from the series' superb fourth season.
