10 Funniest South Park Characters Ever
3. Eric Cartman
Obviously, if you've seen even a few minutes of South Park, you won't be flabbergasted to find Eric Cartman filling out this list with his gluttonous self, the only really surprising thing may be the fact that he only finishes in bronze place in this list, as he is debatably the most important, influential, provocative and downright malignant character in any adult-centric animated show.
While a majority of the episodes storylines do revolve around Cartman specifically, or contain in him some capacity, there are times where his sense of humour can become almost too offensive to the point of holding your hand over your mouth in pure disbelief of whatever atrocity he's just conjured. Some prime examples of his unbelievably dark transgressions are his initial turning point from annoying, spoilt brat all the way to sheer supervillain with a severely nasty streak when he has Scott Tenorman's parents killed, grounded into chilli and fed to the unsuspecting boy.
Which is essentially funny, but mostly due to sheer indisposition of how evil of an enactment it actually is.
Monstrous plans aside, Cartman easily makes for some of the most incredible moments of the show, and he even provided the very first laugh. Whether it's gifting Kyle a dose of AIDS, refusing to give Kyle his kidney or nearly getting Kyle and the rest of his friends raped by a gang of paedophiles under the moniker of NAMBLA, Cartman's done too much to be ignored.
Oh yeah, did we also mention, he despises Kyle along with the entire Hebrew religion?
