In Season 7, Episode 3, chained in a dungeon in King's Landing. Tyene is kissed by Cersei with the same poison that Ellaria, her mother, used to kill Cersei's daughter, and left to die while Ellaria watches helplessly on.
Could They Still Be Alive?
This episode (which also ended the Tyrell plot and family line by poisoning Queen of Thorns Olenna at Highgarden) seems designed in part to wrap up the storylines of Westerosi houses who won't have a role to play in the battles of the final season. In that sense, then, tying up the loose ends of the Dornish thread, always the show's least popular plotline, seems a pretty conclusive end for Tyene, whose sisters were already killed by this point.
Nevertheless, it really feels like Cersei is failing Villainy 101 by pulling the classic move of delivering a lengthy monologue about how she's going to kill someone slowly and elaborately and then just shutting them away behind closed doors and hoping the rest of it goes without a hitch while she's not looking.
She even admits that she has no idea how long the knock-off toxin recreated by Qyburn will take to work, which doesn't inspire confidence in its effectiveness against someone who has a developed knowledge of poisons and maybe even some level of immunity. Even so, there's only the slimmest chance of Tyene still living. Her mother, on the other hand...
