But he needed two quick pit-stops before leaving, one heart-breaking, one triumphant. First he found Shae in his father's bed, and strangled her to death with her necklace after she launched at him with a knife. Then came the end of puppetmaster Tywin, who had pulled all of the strings behind the scenes in King's Landing. He played mind games until his last breath, but the head of the Lannister family was shot down while using the toilet. An undignified death for a huge character. And with Season 5 set to return, it's finally time to witness the knock on effects of these colossal scenes, and many more, from Season 4.
