10 Great DC Comics Characters The Arrowverse Has Totally Wasted

6. (Most Of ) The Rogues

The Flash has one of the most colourful rogues galleries in DC comics. As well as the plethora of speedsters he faces, the Scarlet Speedster often comes up against numerous crooks and thieves with memorable gimmicks. These villains have become known as the Rogues, as they usually team up under that name to take on the hero.

On the show, a number of the Rogues have been adapted very well. Most notably, Captain Cold and Heatwave have become far more layered characters than they ever have been in the comics, thanks to their starring role in Legends of Tomorrow and the great performances of Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell. That's not to mention Mark Hamill's brilliantly Joker-ish turn as the Trickster.

On the other hand, though, the TV series has never delivered a proper Rogues team-up, despite how important the group is in the comics. Occasionally, we have seen two or three of them come together - Captain Cold, Heatwave and Golden Glider or Trickster and Weather Wizard - but the Rogues don't really exist as a unit like they do on the page. It's also taken The Flash an age to get around to introducing some of their biggest members, like Mirror Master, The Top and Abra Kadabra, all of whom finally appeared in season three.
