Sometimes, a few friends can make a moment feel mighty. In Vox In Excelso, Jay-Den helps Starfleet find a path toward saving the remnants of the Klingon Empire. To do so, Starfleet must engage the Klingons in battle, which, when one stops to think about it, probably should have been the most obvious answer. In trying times, however...

The USS Athena, sporting a configuration not unlike the Prometheus class almost a thousand years prior, detaches its saucer section and heads to Faun Alpha. While waiting for the Klingons to arrive, it is joined by several other vessels.

The ships from the 32nd Century have a bit of a stop-and-start journey when it comes to their depiction. While shown in glorious relief in Discovery's third season, they are then often relegated to the background. Here, though the scene is brief, we see a Credance class, a Merian class, a Constitution class, an Eisenberg class, and a Friendship class, all standing in line, ready to assist the Athena.

While the battle itself is staged for history, these ships are finally shown in a sharper relief than in many previous scenes in the show. As Star Trek is famous for its starships, it is always a wonderful moment to flex the full range, or at least part thereof, of the fleet.
