7. The One Where The Doctor Appears On Most Haunted
Besides frequently boring sets and costumes from other shows, Doctor Who has often crossed over with its fellow TV programmes. There was the Children In Need special where Five Doctors wound up in Albert Square from EastEnders, the Tom Baker-era episode with John Cleese as a gallery owner, and there's been parodies everywhere. Things nearly went full meta during the Tenth Doctor's reign, with David Tennant's Time Lord appearing on an episode of Most Haunted. Yes, the reality show dedicated to people screaming at creaky doors in night vision, and medium Derek Acorah coincidentally only ever managing to channel Scouse ghosts. Century House by Tom MacRae would have had Martha Jones watching the show at home as a framing device, whilst The Doctor dragged the ghost hunting show off track to a house haunted by the Red Widow. A light, comedic episode, they never found room for it (even adapting it to include Catherine Tate's Donna), and so it went unmade.
