10 Insane TV Twists That Ruined Their Shows

Shout out to season one of the Canadian horror anthology series Slasher. Starring Jurassic World's Katie McGrath and featuring some superb kills and tense plotting, the first season gets nothing but love.

But the second instalment of this uneven series, 2017's Guilty Party, was a messy ride from the beginning, with too many characters and too few worth caring about. A frosty, ski-resort-set spin on I Know What You Did Last Summer, the show followed a group of now-adult camp counsellors who were picked off one-by-one by a masked murderer as revenge for the murder they covered up years ago.

The show delved into some tasteless territory throughout this ill-considered season, but the eventual reveal that the murders were committed by a small, unassuming woman in her fifties and she'd been imagining her younger son's presence for the entire season smacked of desperation and came off more unintentionally hilarious than tragic or shocking.
