10 Insane TV Twists That Ruined Their Shows

Already unworthy of the classic Wes Craven slasher film series which gave the show its name, MTV's ill-judged Scream series debuted with a solid but unspectacular first season in 2015.

Dragged down by an uninspired plot and dead weight main character, the show was at least elevated by some charming performances from young leads Bex Taylor-Klaus, John Karna, Tom Maden, and Amadeus Serafini. So there's no beef with the show's not-great, not-awful first season.

But the series' second season, much like the later Chiller series Slasher, went off the rails fast, offing fan favourites without providing any clarity in its knotty convoluted plot.

The eventual reveal that the heroine's love interest was somehow the killer this time around was an embarrassing misstep for all involved, so much so that a later Halloween special soon over-wrote this corny twist, but by then it was too late to salvage this flagging series.
