10 Memorable Post-Regeneration Moments In Doctor Who

5. The Fourth Doctor Is The Definitive Article - Robot

The Fourth Doctor, much like the Eleventh, burst onto the screen with the immediate energy that he would come to be known for; and his first interactions with the Brigadier, Sarah and Harry are all fantastic fun to watch.

It’s his first scene with the latter that results in one of the best lines in the series. As Harry attempts to persuade the Doctor back to sick bay, he tells the Time Lord that he is the doctor. Only for our Doctor to point out that he ‘…may be a doctor, but I’m the Doctor. The definitive article you might say.’ It’s a brilliant line. So good in fact, that it’s requoted in Twice Upon A Time - though the ending is changed slightly. The rest of the Fourth Doctor’s scene with Harry is just as memorable, as he tries to prove he’s fit enough to leave. The Doctor breaks a brick, runs on the spot, skips with a rope, and ultimately manages to tie Harry up and stuff him in a cupboard - though that sadly happens off-screen. It really does set the tone, and is a joy to watch.
