Bunheads is the tale of a former ballerina called Michelle Simms who becomes a Las Vegas showgirl and after believing her career is over, gets married to Hubbell Flowers and moves far away. Flowers is killed in a car accident and Simms is forced to adapt to small town life and teaching at her very own ballet school.

Bunheads was ABCs answer to Glee but under the guise of ballet and was even promised a grant of $5.82 million should it be renewed for a second season, however not even that could save it. The reviews were incredibly positive for the show, with critics understanding its target audiences and loving its charm, however it simply didn’t achieve the numbers needed for it to survive in 2013. People adored the storyline of a woman picking her life back up again after it fell to pieces, and Bunheads remains extremely important to them.
