The Wikipedia page for "Three-body problem" contains a bunch of big science words and an animation that will make your eyes hurt before you throw up everywhere.

That's because that page is about a long-standing problem in the field of mechanics, not the upcoming TV show nor the book on which it is based.

Written by Liu Cixin, The Three-Body Problem is a sci-fi novel in which humanity comes into contact with an alien civilisation located in a nearby star system.

It's one of the most popular Chinese science fiction novels of modern times and it even got the big screen treatment... well, it might do. It's been in development hell since 2015.

One thing that is happening with the story is a Netflix adaptation at the hands of David Benioff and D. B. Weiss.

Hang on, aren't those the guys who ruined Game of Thrones?

Before you pick up your pitchforks, just give this show a go. It's an intriguing premise, the book is extremely popular, and it's got big names like Benedict Wong and Jonathan Pryce onboard.

Also, aren't you just that little bit morbidly curious to see if Benioff and Weiss can mess something else up?
