7. Qyburn
Qyburn was a character that many fans wanted to know more about. His skills as a maester were fascinating and creepy in equal measure, and his resurrection of the Mountain revealed just how uniquely talented he was.
It was a shock, therefore, when the undead Gregor Clegane turned on Qyburn and murdered him in a matter of seconds amongst the ruins of King’s Landing.
Though such a scene was highly amusing due to the speed and circumstances of Qyburn’s death, it felt like a poor way for such a clever and interesting character to exit the show.
Given how many deaths there were in the penultimate episode, certain deaths would have always overshadowed others, but Qyburn’s death was so nonsensical that it would have been better if it hadn’t been included at all.
