10 Most Insane Community Fan Theories

With Dan Harmon not taking part in season 4 of Community, it had a markedly different feel to it. The quality just wasn't at its usual peak.

Now, this happens to many shows over the years when a major creative force behind the show leaves, look at Seinfeld after Larry David departed, but with Community fans have speculated that because of Harmon's departure the 4th season of the show is actually set in another timeline.

Obviously, multiple timelines have been a large part of Community, with the darkest timeline saga running over more than one season. So, for fans to claim that the 4th season is another timeline isn't entirely outside the realm of possibility.

Specifically, /bomberman12/ put forward the theory saying that instead of following the timeline where Abed caught the die in the episode 'Remedial Chaos Theory', we're following the timeline where Pierce went to get the pizza. The other events surrounding that timeline such as Jeff and Annie starting to get closer, as well as Troy and Britta, were shown to be happening when Pierce left the room.

It would be a cool thing in retrospect to find out officially that season 4 follows a different timeline, and upon Harmon's return in the 5th season, we reunite with the main timeline because overall it was his show.
