10 Most Inventive Ways That Doctor Who Has Killed Off Its Own Characters

4. Death By Weeping Angel (Blink)

Blink gave us a unique new monster in the Weeping Angels, one which had a highly inventive way of dispatching their victims. One touch from the statues and the poor recipient is zapped back into the past and the parasite feeds off the potential time energy. Of course, this isn't dying as such - the victim can go on to live a long and productive life - but the show has treated this as a death of sorts. This is certainly how its viewed when poor detective Billy gets zapped, the young, cheeky detective who flirts with Sally Sparrow turned into a dying old man. The Weeping Angels may not kill you instantly but they kill you nonetheless. Just look at poor Rory, who walks into a building in New York to witness his own death from old age. When Rory and Amy get blasted back, the Doctor acts as if this is death, rather an odd attitude for someone who travels through time.
