10 Most Satisfying TV Character Deaths Of The Past Decade

6. The Governor - The Walking Dead

The Governor Death Walking Dead
AMC

Identity of Deceased: Philip Blake, a former middle-management employee who becomes a fanatical dictator in the wake of the zombie apocalypse. Portrayed by David Morrissey.

Time of Death: 'Too Far Gone' - Season 4, Episode 8 (first broadcast 1st December 2013).

Cause of Death: While attempting to beat and choke Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) to death, he is stabbed through the chest by Michonne (Danai Gurira), and later finished off with a gunshot to the head by Lilly (Audrey Marie Anderson).

Why It Was So Satisfying: Seeing Michonne use her katana on anyone is always a welcome sight, but particularly in this case. In the days before Negan, The Governor was the worst power-mad human The Walking Dead had to offer.

A deluded nobody who, once the world that was falls, suddenly becomes somebody, his initially agreeable exterior gradually dropped to reveal a paranoid, bloodthirsty megalomaniac. Viewers spent the bulk of two seasons hungry for his demise, and appetites were sated once it came.
