10 Most Underrated Star Trek Episodes

1. Take Me Out To The Holosuite - Star Trek Deep Space Nine

Star Trek Take Me Out To The Holosuite
CBS

This is one of (but not the) last truly fun episodes of Deep Space Nine, centering around Sisko's rivalry with another Starfleet captain, Solok, who had bested him years before at the academy. Solok challenges Sisko to a game of baseball and the stage is set for a brilliant slice of fun in the midst of the Dominion War.

There is simply so much to love about this episode, from Odo taking his duties as umpire very seriously, to O'Brien's scotch flavoured chewing gum and Worf's infamous cry "Death To The Opposition!"

Whether the team wins or not is besides the point by the episode's end. It sees all of the main cast members and most of the regular guest stars coming together for something that has nothing to do with galactic battles or high stakes endgames. This is about a game of baseball, and it's a bloody brilliant episode.

If there is anyone out there who doesn't love this seventh season episode, then do as Worf commands:

"FIND HIM AND KILL HIM!"
