10 Most Underrated TV Shows Of 2020 (So Far)
3. Locke & Key
Locke & Key debuted on Netflix back in February, and if you've read the source material, you'll know that hopes were high for it. Even though it didn't ultimately exceed expectations (at least not in the way that, say, Stranger Things did) it provided fans of the comic books and new fans in general with a series full of promise.
The 10-episode first season told the story of the Lockes - who, out of grief, sought a new start at the childhood home of the family's late patriarch Rendell Locke. But it didn't take Bode, Tyler and Kinsey long to discover that Keyhouse was full of darkness, family secrets and the impossible - a discovery that was made that much harder by the fact that all of them were struggling with the loss of the man who held the family together.
While tonal inconsistencies made it hard to gauge what type of show the writers wanted Locke & Key to be, it did find its footing as it went on - making it rather frustrating that the season was so short. In spite of that, it provided us with a solid conclusion that successfully left viewers wanting more.
Perhaps the show with the most potential on this list, the sky is the limit for Locke & Key, so let's hope the second season takes it to new heights.
