6. Q Continuum
The Original Series was filled with omnipotent, powerful beings that seemed to be capable of virtually anything. These beings took an surprising range of forms. But few of them were as powerful as Q.
This being of unrivaled power appeared for the first time in the first episode of The Next Generation. Q was a member of an entire race of beings like him, all named Q. He continued to torment the crew of Picard's Enterprise throughout the entire run of the series. Q went on to appear once on Deep Space Nine, only to get punched in the face by Sisko. The character was far more prevalent on Voyager, which actually got to go into the place the Q call home, the Q Continuum.
Each appearance on all three TV series gave more insights into the Q as did novels that focused on them. But a CBS All Access series delving into the Q and the roles they have played throughout the history of Star Trek could be highly engaging. They could easily have been part of moments that no one was aware of.
