10 Notable Names With At Least One Recurring TV Voice Role

1. Mark Hamill

Any list starting with Batman must end with the Joker, right?

The list of actors who can lay claim to two iconic figures in pop culture is short. The list of those who can say they've portrayed one of the most celebrated heroes and most celebrated villains is even shorter.

Outside of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and Kingsmen: The Secret Service, some would be hard pressed to name a Mark Hamill role whose last name didn't read Skywalker. Hamill has portrayed the Jedi in various media for 43 years, including six of nine films in the saga. It was around the time of production for a New Hope, in fact, that he first began to dabble in voice acting.

It wasn't until 1992 that he began to hit his stride in a Joker role that he incidentally took from Tim Curry, the original Pennywise in Stephen King's It. It's baffling to think that Mark Hamill's Joker only featured in 15 episodes of the original 85-episode run of Batman: The Animated Series because, for many, Mark Hamill is the quintessential Joker (apologies to Nicholson and Ledger).

While the Clown Prince of Crime may be the foundation that his prolific voice career is built on, Hamill has featured in almost everything since, from Adult Swim fare like Family Guy, Robot Chicken and Metalocalypse, to commercial hits like Regular Show, Adventure Time and Gravity Falls.
