10 Once Great TV Shows That Descended Into Madness

6. Twin Peaks

Twin Peaks I absolutely loved the first season of Twin Peaks. It was so weird and out there that you just couldn€™t help but dig it. Kyle MacLachlan owned the role of Agent Cooper and I had a blast trying to figure out who killed Laura Palmer (I suspected pretty much everyone on the show except for the actual culprit who was finally revealed to be the guilty party). I thought that it would only run for one season and was surprised when it was announced that it would return in the fall. I mean what the Hell could you do after Laura€™s murder was solved (the main plot of the show) and the killer was dealt with? Apparently the writers didn€™t have an answer for this question and with the exception of the brilliant last scene of the final episode the second season was basically pointless. It€™s no wonder that there wasn€™t a third season and I shudder to think about what might have taken place had there been one.
