10 Reality TV Shows That Question Your Supernatural Beliefs
2. Killing Bigfoot
Boy, talk about escalation. First they were all about finding him, and now, they’re trying to kill him? Sheesh!
“Killing Bigfoot”, a program which aired for six episodes in 2017, follows The Gulf Coast Bigfoot Research Organization who, according to their website (www.killingbigfoot.com of course!), is the “oldest Bigfoot research group in the country”. Their main mission in life is to not only protect people from “nuisance Bigfoot” that may cause harm (which is a big problem, I guess?), but to also “harvest a specimen” in order to prove once and for all that Bigfoot is real. It’s a noble cause to be sure, one that only the best and brightest should undertake. And by best and brightest, that clearly means guys with names like “Birddog”, “Timber” and “Grumpy”.
You’d think with all the shows of this type, not to mention the fact pretty much everybody has a phone with a camera on them these days, that Bigfoot would have been captured and we’d have definitive proof of its existence by now. But yet, he still eludes us, kind of making one come to the conclusion that the thing doesn’t exist at all!
I sorta wish Bigfoot was real though. Maybe then he’d send all these crummy shows a cease and desist letter.
But as long as there’s hope, an audience with less discriminating tastes, and somebody with a night vision camera, shows like this will continue to exist. And sadly, most of them, (just like this one) will air on Destination America, a television station that has rapidly become the dumping ground for all things paranormal.
