10 Reasons Murder House Is The Best Season Of American Horror Story
8. The Twists
For fans of Westworld, Lost, and Sherlock, you know that a great show needs a compelling storyline. The mystery surrounding Horror Story made it a must-watch before it even aired. The biggest mystery was how fresh the show was, and we didn't know what to expect.
As the story of Murder House spun out over its run we were left open-mouthed at WTF could happen next. From finding out how Larry got those scars, to realising that everyone from Nora Montgomery to Chad and Patrick had died on the grounds of the house, each week had something new to offer.
The following seasons have had a couple of twists, like the revelation of the Ten Commandments Killer, or the Oliver Thredson/Bloody Face saga, but Murder House was a full-blown mystery show - just without the Scooby Gang. Perhaps the biggest (and most heartbreaking) twist came in Episode 10 when we discovered that poor Violet had actually died from her suicide attempt in Episode 6. Taissa Farmiga's best role in the show and a scene that had your stomach in knots made Murder House one hell of a twist with the knife.
