One of the key moments in Return Of The Jedi, is the escape of Luke Skywalker and Han Solo as Jabba The Hutt takes them to be executed by throwing them into the pit of the Sarlacc, a multi-tentacled alien beast with rows of sharp teeth who inhabits a great hole in the desert sands.

In the ensuing battle, Boba Fett falls into the razor-like mouth of hell where he has been presumed dead for the subsequent years, until his return in Season 2 of The Mandalorian. Thanks to the very first flashback scene in The Book Of Boba Fett, we are shown Fett inside the grotesque stomach of the beast and his eventual escape.

Boba is able to retrieve a respirator from a stormtrooper, who is slowly being digested by the Sarlacc, and then blast his way out with his flame thrower. Fett later returns to the pit in order to retrieve his lost armour, and the creature is killed by Fennec Shand as it attempts to capture and feed on them both.
