4. The Writing Is Exceptional

Breaking Bad set a new standard when it came to writing for television - from its character development to the razor sharp dialogue, the show represented something of a pinnacle for TV dramas. While there was a chance that Better Call Saul could have turned out to be inferior to Breaking Bad in this respect, with Vince Gilligan, Peter Gould and the rest of the Breaking Bad writing team working on the show, the quality of the writing looks set to remain as high.
