The 'Awesome' One, Barney Stinson is one of the best parts of the show, and he is what makes How I Met Your Mother an interesting show to watch weekly. Played by Neil Patrick Harris, Barney Stinson provides a unique perspective to How I Met Your Mother. Unlike a normal play boy, Barney Stinson ha his own rules that he plays along with, and he uses them to get girls, which has been considered 'awesome' by many. His persona and his mannerisms make him one of the most delightful characters on screen, and it would be an understatement to say that no one hates Barney Stinson. Neil Patrick Harris played the character extremely convincingly, and has impressed everyone. Many have called him the best star on this show, and according to me, he is the most prominent star, even though the show is based on Ted's life. Barney continues to be legendary, which is excellent for him, and the show itself.
