Arrows fundamental basis in reality has applied to more than the skills of its central character. The science and resources in Starling City have more or less corresponded with those available in real life. Felicity is certainly an exception to the rule with her seemingly innate skills at hacking computers and pinging cell phones and making broody vigilantes fall in love, but shes always treated as remarkable. The Flash is almost entirely opposite in its treatment of the scientific world, and the glossy pseudo-science that works so well for Barry Allen with his superspeed and team of STAR Labs geniuses should not exist in the same world where Oliver and Team Arrow have to get their hands dirty and break into facilities the old-fashioned way. The discrepancy first presented itself in Cisco and Caitlins brief cameos in the end of Season 2 of Arrow when Cisco blasts a Mirakuru soldier with a burst of energy from a ray gun, and the contrast as the two shows become even further entwined will not do Arrow any favors.
Fiction buff and writer. If it's on Netflix, it's probably in my queue. I've bought DVDs for the special features and usually claim that the book is better than the movie or show (and can provide examples). I've never met a TV show that I won't marathon. Follow on Twitter @lah9891 .
